Northside Kairos, August 6-9
The North Side Kairos Retreat is a 4-day retreat for North Side Chicago teens who have just completed their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior years of high school. Kairos retreats are well known throughout the Chicagoland area. Many Catholic high schools have Kairos retreats on a regular basis. This particular Kairos is unique because of its diversity. The youth who participate in and lead this particular Kairos come from both public and Catholic high schools and many different parishes from around the area. This retreat is lead by trained peer leaders with appropriate adult leadership from male and female lay ministers. We feel that this creates the best possible environment for a Catholic retreat. A participant need not be Catholic to go on the retreat, and this diversity creates a safe environment to understand the richness of our Catholic community. There are many reasons those who have already gone on Kairos could give you about why you should go, but first you have to choose to trust them. Thousands of teens go on Kairos every year. They go and discover who they really are and how they want to live. They come for their own reasons. All leave change. For more information about the Kairos Retreat, contact Aaron.
